Tyson Developments worked with us every step of the way throughout the build - helping us turn our 'architects drawings' and 'ideas' into reality. From installing custom built rooflights to recycling our original welsh slate, they added finishing touches which have made our extension a unique feature of our home.

Garden Room Extension, Gurnard

Built to the clients exacting requirements, this extension had to blend into its surroundings’ with conservation in mind.   When you look out from inside, it is stunning, giving the feeling that you are blended with the garden.
Our clients were meticulous with their choice of materials and fittings, right from the necessity of purpose made joinery windows to form the sun room and gable end, which were manufactured by our own joiner in his workshop, to the use of second hand natural slates to match in with the existing roof.
The flat roof above the bath / shower room extension was covered using code 5 Lead, formed in a traditional roll cap design; this with the natural slates and purpose built metal glazed frames in the pitched roof looked stunning with the detail being sharp and crisp.
Internally the extension has vaulted ceiling with low energy down lighters, traditional style tubular radiators a cream coloured wood burner with hardwood mantle piece, wood panelling and tasteful stainless electrical fittings and a staircase with double sided bull nosed step to give accessibility from both sides.
The overall style and finish was excellent, and blended in so well that you would think that it had always been there.
